The dream to start an animal specialty store is one that was wondering in Nadine's and Guy's head for a while. Nadine specifically wanted to be involved with animals. Since December 2012 Nadine and Guy have been exploring and analyzing the market. Each of them has more than 25 years of European retail experience and this convinces them of succeeding in this new exciting venture.
Both Nadine and Guy know that all success lies in the preparation thereof and with market research in Belgium, Netherlands, Australia and New-Zealand, they gathered all the ideas needed to turn this venture into a success. After a year of preparation, they found the right location in the N1 Value Centre in Goodwood, which is in the middle of the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.
PETWORLD, the 1st all-in-one specialty pet store of 1160m2 with a vet clinic and grooming parlor opened on the 2nd of January 2014. PETWORLD N1 City has the largest choice, friendliest staff and made its mark as the largest and most beautiful pet, vet and grooming store in Cape Town: creating a new vibe in the industry since the beginning of January 2014.
The style of the shop is comparable to Woolworths (clean, neat efficient and fun shopping). The concept of the store is built to be franchised in 30-40 stores nationwide.
